Measure the adhesive and cohesive strength of coatings and coating systems in the laboratory, shop or field using this self-aligning hydraulic tensile adhesion testing kit. The HATE (Hydraulic Adhesion Test Equipment) uses a central loading pin and hydraulic pressure to apply perpendicular force (maximum of 3500 psi) and debond a reuseable, pre-attached stainless steel loading fixture from the coating surface. The pull-off value is read directly from the gage dial in PSI or KPa. The HATE Mark VII kit comes complete with 5 standard reuseable stainless steel loading fixtures and Teflon plugs, adhesive, and a heat clamp for cleaning used loading fixtures. Additional loading fixtures, Teflon plugs, and adhesive are available. Instruction manual and a foam-fitted plastic carrying case are also included with your purchase. The tester is 20" in length and conforms to ASTM D4541 and D7234. Special concave and convex loading fixtures are available by contacting the KTA Instrument Sales Staff (Contact Us).
