Verification of surface cleanliness after dry abrasive blast cleaning using only the joint written standards prepared by SSPC and NACE can be left to interpretation and result in subjective evaluations and controversy on a project. Using the SSPC visual guide can reduce the degree of subjectivity associated with evaluating surface cleanliness.
