If you do alot of high voltage holiday detection, then this detector is for you. Spy has taken a whole different approach to standard high voltage detectors. This ergonomically designed instrument features a top handle for better control, a pistol grip end handle, faster set-up with a built-in meter, a louder alarm for operation in noisy environments, a visible positive ground indicator, lightweight durable design and infinite specific voltage settings for adjustments on the fly. The tester is suitable for use on any nonconductive coating  applied to a conductive substrate. The device operates using a power pack and produces a spark upon detection. It is not intrinsically safe. Three different models are available to choose from, up to 35,000 volts DC. The applied voltage is typically 100-125 volts per mil, however the coating manufacturer should be consulted for the recommended voltage setting. The detector is sold complete with everything you need in a sturdy storage case. The detector conforms to ASTM D5162. Made in the USA.
