Many facility owners of petrochemical refineries are now
requiring contractors to maintain and implement a safety
and health program that meets the criteria of 29 CFR 1910,
the OSHA General Industry Standard. To meet requirements
of the OSHA General Industry Standard, KTA-Tator, Inc. has
developed a comprehensive safety and health program. The
program contains general policies and guidelines relative
to each of the following areas: • General safety and
health
provisions, • Personal protective equipment, • Fire
protection/prevention, • Suspended personnel platforms on
load lines of cranes, • Electrical, • Bloodborne
pathogens, • Process safety management, •
scaffolding/ladders, • Fall protection, and • Occupational
health and environmental controls. The program also
contains forms and checklists to ease implementation at
specific project sites. |
