KTA is a licensed provider of the four-day* SSPC C.3
course. The course focuses on the roles and
responsibilities of the supervisor/competent persons
who are responsible for the protection of workers, the
public and the environment, while completing lead paint
removal projects in a cost-effective manner. This course
includes background information on the hazards of lead and
other toxic metals and the current legal and regulatory
environment.
Course topics include: - The protection of
workers
- Compliance with environmental
regulations
- Proper management of waste streams and
operations that result in potential exposures to lead and
the associated control technology
- Reading
specifications
- Developing programs to effectively
control risks to workers, the public, and the
environment
- Insurance and bonding issues
The SSPC
C.3 course includes a comprehensive student manual, daily
hands-on workshops, a final multiple-choice examination
and an SSPC-issued certificate. *This offering does not
meet the supplemental state requirements for Illinois,
Missouri, Maryland, or New Jersey. The Virginia state
supplement may be added for an additional fee. The SSPC
C.3 Course includes a comprehensive student manual, daily
hands-on workshops, a final multipl-choice examination and
an SSPC-issued certificate.
